Ho Ho Ho!!! December is upon us and there are some GREAT things in the works this month. I wanted to tell you about something AMAZING that I get to be a part of this month. It’s called 24 Merry Days and it’s pretty suh-weet. Basically, there are 24 days, 24 bloggers, and 24 giveaways. Yup. GIVEAWAYS. All you have to do is visit the site and check out who’s hosting the giveaway each day. I’m day 22 so make sure you come back here to enter that one! 🙂 You can win prizes from Rifle Paper Co., Kinfolk Magazine, Oh, Hello Friend, & more! It’s going to be a great month so make sure you take part in it!
And now we’re going to make a smooth transition into the DIY above. Every year I see stores make super cute snow globes filled with dreamy winter scenes. As I was perusing the aisles of Hobby Lobby (almost every day during lunch), I came across this sweet little fox and owl and knew that they would be coming home with me. When you see things like that, ya just know. Am I right? I picked those up and then went on the hunt to get the rest of  the goods to create my own winter wonderland.
To make your own you’ll need:
- small plastic animals like a fox, owl, or deer
- small pine trees (found at Hobby Lobby)
- white spray paint
- fake snow in a can (found at Dollar Tree)
- hot glue
- white jar lid (mine found here)
Spray paint the plastic animals white. Spray just a little on top to make them look snowed on. Hot glue them and the pine trees onthe the jar lid in different places. Once set, spray with short, light bursts of white spray paint. Next, spray fake snow all over in light layers. Let dry and seal with dome. I chose to leave the dome off because I liked the look without. These make great paperweights and look great in many different areas of the home. Easy as pie, people. Easy as pie.
