It’s no surprise that I’m on a Macaron kick. They’re just delicious! I’ll be honest, though, and tell you that I’m happy with plain old vanilla. Does that make me boring? Hope not. The edible typography macarons were such a hit, that I decided to keep exploring the ways to print on this tasty treat. And then it hit me – Fabric-inspired Printed Macarons! They can be real thing! I had several fabric swatches from Vita’s nursery and they had perfect designs that were easy to recreate with some edible food pens!
Supplies:
- macarons (these are from trader joe’s, but this is a great recipe!)
- a variety of fabric swatches
- Americolor food pens
And it goes like this:
Copy the designs from your fabric onto the tops of each macaron using the food pens. Don’t worry about perfection! I’m a simple girl. https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/valacyclovir.html

The pens don’t alter the taste at all and are safe to eat! But you might not want to because they’re so pretty.
That was a joke. How could one NOT eat a macaron?

Ahhh, I love these SO much! Possibly even better than the typography ones (that’s a close call, but patterns always win me over). The spots one is by far my fave 🙂
