It’s Turkey Week. I just love Thanksgiving and I feel like this pine cone chandelier would be perfect over any table setting. Complete with feathers and pine cones, it’s exactly what anyone needs for a little Thanksgiving spirit. Directions below:
Supplies: pine cones, large & medium embroidery hoops, an assortment of feathers, glitter, hot glue (not pictured), white thread, glitter, white spray paint, and scissors
Start off by spraying the pine cones.
Sprinkle them with glitter while the paint is still wet.
So prettay.
Tie the embroidery hoops together. I did this by wrapping both hoops with the thread with the desired space in between. This can be tricky so be patient and go slowly.
Wrap in at least four different spots to secure tightly. The hoops should be painted white, but I chose to leave them natural so you can see where to tie.
Wrap some of the thread around the tip of each feather tying a knot while leaving a tail that is 12 inches or longer.
Cut different lengths of thread and tie a knot at one end. Place some hot glue on the bottom of each pine cone and place the thread inside it. This was the easiest way to get the cones to hang straight.
Start tying the feathers and cones to the inner and outer hoops. I did not measure out what cones should hang at what lengths. It’s better to hang them at random. Trust me.
Blam. A pretty chandelier to hang over your table. If you choose to make one, which you should, please link up so I can stop by and check it out!
Happy Turkey Week!
