Things have been super quiet around here. I know this. (Come back tomorrow and I’ll tell you all about the new happenings around here! Big news, friends. BIG. NEWS.)
Instead of sharing some fun party DIY or other rockin’ post, I wanted to just take a moment to say how grateful I am for the life and friends that I have. The events in Boston have reminded me of the crazy time that we live in. It’s a little frightening to say, but I’m not really surprised by much in the news anymore. It’s scary that life is not as valued as it used to be. There are a lot of crazy people out there that try to hurt and damage society. Over the last several months, I’ve had to be careful when I watch the news because it’s more depressing than informative.
Even with all the horrible events going on, I’m still amazed to see how quick people are to help. In the footage of the bombs in Boston, you can see bystanders running over to assist those injured immediately after the bombs had gone off. People weren’t running away. They were there and were trying to help. It’s refreshing to see that there are still selfless people who will go out of their way to assist those in need.
I’m very grateful for the community that I live in. With all the crazy that is going on, I’m glad to know that there are still wonderful people in the world who will always do what they can to help others.
Thank you to all of you.

So true Lexy. Even the news was talking silver linings for a change.
