You guys. This is serious business. Sweet potatoes are tasty. They are super delish when covered with cinnamon butter and marshmallows. And have you ever had a sweet potato cupcake? I have. (insert all sorts of crazy swears here.) These are the cupcakes I grammed the other day and all y’all were freakin’ out with me.
I recently acquired a fancy little cupcake kit for these sweet potato cupcakes. They were baked. They were frosted. They were devoured. The kit came with the cupcake mix, frostin mix, and some marshmallows to top them off with. The frosting is dreamy brown sugar and cinnamon frosting. There would have been more cupcakes, but I ate a lot of the batter and even more of the frosting. I loved them so much that I got one more kit and am giving it away to one of you. I’m going to make all your cupcake dreams come true!

I think the most delicious cupcake I’ve ever had was from Suga Mama’s here in Austin TX. My sweet friend brought them over for dessert one night. I’ve yet to go back but I definitely will soon 🙂

ERMAHGERD. I want to win this giveaway so bad. I recently made vegan peanut butter banana cupcakes and even though they came out more like muffins, they were still amaze (recipe on the blog soonish). Thanks Lexy!

My favorite cupcake is a red velvet from Frosted Cupcakery in Los Angeles.
The most disappointing was the Red Velvet I made using a Martha Stewart recipe. :/ Heartbreak, but I moved on. Kinda.

I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Mini’s in SLC (Sugarhouse and Downtown locations!), but I really love the Breakfast at Tiffany’s cupcake which is just a vanilla bean cupcake and cream cheese frosting. Simple, but so tasty! I did, however, just go on their website and saw this little Fall Gem:
A brown sugar and molasses cupcake filled with figs, topped with a chevre butter crème frosting.

Tastiest cupcake I’ve ever had has to be the peanut butter and chocolate cupcake from Sweet Tooth Fairy. So rich and so delicious. Worth every single calorie. If I win I promise to instagram the results even though I’m pretty certain they won’t be as pretty as yours 🙂

The best cupcake I’ve ever had was a pumpkin spice cupcake with cream cheese frosting that I got at a local bakery in Columbia, MD. Cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. Gigantic cupcake, super dense. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Mmmm.

I really liked a mint chocolate cupcake I had at a wedding reception. Good chocolate cupcake, stacked mint frosting, very good.
The sweet potato sound interesting!

I just made some Caramel Cupcakes with Salted Caramel-Browned Butter Frosting (that name is a mouthful!) for our school district talent show and they are da bomb. I don’t say da bomb very often, but these totally are, so why not bust out an oldie but goodie, ya know!

My crazy aunt (well, one of them) made the most disgusting, dry, tasteless pistachio cupcakes for my little cousins 5th birthday. She’s married now but we still talk about how random that desert selection was. Ha.

Tea & Cakes (only a 1/2 block away from my old job) had some pretty delicious chocolate maple bacon cupcakes. My cupcake consumption has decreased significantly since I stopped working in Boulder.

My grandmother used to make the most magical Black Forest cupcakes in the world. They were so decadent, and my cousins and I would be bouncing off the walls from all the sugar. To this day, the memory of how they tasted still defines “summertime” for me.
When she passed, I inherited some of her recipes, including that one. I keep meaning to make them, but I don’t think I could ever replicate how wonderful hers were. Maybe someday! 🙂

When I got engaged, I decided to have cupcakes instead of a wedding cake and called the cutest boutique cupcake store in my town. For a regular sized cupcake they were going to be $3 each. I thought that was ridiculous, so I went down to Costco and got the giant sized ones for just $0.60 each. They were so good and to this day people still talk about the amazing cupcakes at my wedding and nobody even knew they were from a bulk superstore 🙂
