This is kind of one of those projects where you think, “Gosh, there really are no actual steps to this because you just thread, tie, and wear it.”. But still! This DIY wood bead necklace has been my new favorite these last few weeks. It might have something to do with that icy blue suede?! Not sure. But you should totally make your own. The wood bead gods told me so.
There are a bajillion places to buy wooden beads online and in craft stores. And the sizes?!! Oh, how do you choose?! I made this necklace with 1/2 inchers and 1 inchers. Each had a 1/8″ hole and I just gently (though a little forcefully!) fed the suede on through. To gauge the length, just wrap the suede around your neck and tie a bow before trimming the end of suede from the spool.
And boom. You could absolutely pay for a necklace like this, or make your own for about $6. You decide which you prefer! 😉
