Mmmkay, y’all. This is a week that I’ve been waiting impatiently to arrive! I was asked by Brickyard Buffalo to be their Guest Editor this week and here we are! BB is a site I’ve frequented for years for items both new and familiar to me. New products are constantly introduced and each week, BB puts on a limited sale! Occasionally, they’ll work with folks to curate mini “collections” and I was totally bashful when they asked me to curate my own. I wanted to chat a bit about what I chose and why so scroll on down to see what I picked as this week’s Brickyard Buffalo Guest Editor! A few of my faves are live and they’re on sale at a discount for this week only!
One of the things I struggle with while I nurse my babies is the ability to fit into pants. I am constantly strutting around the house in some form of stretch “active wear” and it’s really a treat when I put on something that one does not “work out” in. (In this instance, “work out” means “wear stretchy pants so people think I went to the gym when I really just sat home on the couch”.) I’m full of “air quotes” today. This Corduroy Jumper from Brickyard Buffalo’s own collection has quickly become a fave staple in my closet. The suspenders class it up, and we all know I love black so it just WORKS. When paired with a tee, it’s still appropriate for summer, but you can totally dress up for chillier days with tights and a long sleeve blouse! I’m pretty sure I’ll be sporting this weekly until 2020.
Aside from clothes for myself, I wanted to share our new favorite toy! The SPLASH OUTSIDE THE LINES! luxe inflatable pool by MINNIDIP has been the perfect way to get Mars used to the water! And although V knows how to swim in the deep end of the pool, she’s had a blast splashing around and showing off for baby sis. She’s a bit of a performer, and I honestly don’t hate it.
I’d also like to confess here and now that this pool has become the babysitter I never had. It’s currently chilling out in my living room filled with toys and keeps Mars happily confined to one area while I work. Everybody wins!
I will not forget the ear candy. When I saw these hand earrings by Young Frankk a few months ago, I could NOT get them outta my mind. They’re the right size. The right gold. And the perfect shape. I want everyone to have a pair. Give your ears a five, would ya?? Is that too punny?
I’m going to do what I do best and that’s LOOK AWAY FROM THE CAMERA while I show off the Drew Denim Skirt from BB. It’s a talent I saved specifically for Brickyard Buffalo Guest Editor. I have no words other than this skirt is everything. I have been on the hunt for a denim skirt for fall and this was at top of my list! I’m a fan of the ol’ button down front and that dark denim wash makes ya feel ultra fancy. It’s also perfect for those times when one is styling their mantel, ya know?
We’ve also been doing our fair share of baking lately. Always. If you know Vita personally, or watch the happenings over on my IG stories, you know that she’s a unicorn girl. She’s been talking about some epic Unicorn-themed birthday party she plans to have. I may just have to pull the trigger on that and I’m totally fine with it as long as I’ve got my Unicorn sprinkles from Sprinkle Pop. Seriously. Their bespoke sprinkle mixes (you can choose from a bunch of different styles!) are my fave thing on the internet as of late. Is it appropriate to sprinkle sprinkles on your dinner? In some kind of salad? That’s cool, right?
This Shawni Pocket Romper is another fave from Brickyard Buffalo’s collection. It’s loose and flattering in all the right places and totally boosts confidence for everyone who wears it. Seriously. My post-baby-donut-loving body thanks the makers of this magical item of clothing.
We recently wrapped up a quick weekend trip to the Grand Canyon and it didn’t disappoint. Before we headed North, we taught V all about the landmark and let her navigate with her Mini USA Play Mat from Camp Castle Play Mats. You can find a fun selection in assorted colors, sizes, and designs. Want unicorns and rainbows? Want a map of Florida? There’s a mat for that. This has been one of her favorite things to play with around the clock. It even works as a placemat at the dinner table so she’s talking all about ‘Merica during supper!
Head over to Brickyard Buffalo to see all of my picks for the week! And thank you thank you to Brickyard Buffalo for letting me play dress-up and pretend I’m someone who gives fashion advice! 🙂
