Check out how hip I am. I could have easily titled this “HollER for holographic”, but thought I should show y’all just how with it I am. We have been busting out our Cricut Maker for all sorts of things lately. We added a simple cat face to Vita’s backpack (pics coming soon!). And made a super cute poodle skirt at the last minute for the Sock Hop with Pop at her school. And now that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I wanted to make the girls a gift that they could use long after February 14th. These DIY Valentine’s Day leggings have just the right amount of holographic material (or as Vita likes to call it – “pizzazz”) and they make excellent pajamas or play clothes. And they came together in about one episode of Parenthood. BTW – I’m rewatching that and I have been crying A LOT lately.
Love comes in all shapes and sizes. It’s no secret that I love drawing out abstract shapes for the Maker to cut, but I wanted to keep this project as simple as possible should you want to make it yourself. I scoured Cricut Design Space for the best of the best when it comes to abstract shapes and rounded them all up into one project. If you want to make your own Valentine’s Day leggings, just click right here and you’ll be taken right to the project outline in Design Space! So so easy.
Handmade gifts are some of the most special, but that doesn’t mean they have to be difficult!
I used Cricut’s holographic iron on for the shapes and then attached them to the leggings with the Easy Press Mini. I literally watched a Parenthood episode as I ironed the shapes on. Mindless and blissful work, y’all.
To finish it off, I cut out mini gift tags from foil poster board. You can make these by clicking here. Deboss that foil, my friends!
Thread a little string or twine and wrap them around the rolled-up leggings. BOOM. Instant Valentine’s Day gift.
My littles have been just chilling (see. hip.) in these daily and I can’t get enough of it. Are you ready for a picture overload of their cuteness? jkjkjkjk
I don’t want to flood the internet with “bum shots” but these two are just the cutest hams and I love how their Valentine’s Day leggings turned out!
Cutest bums around. Make these Valentine’s Day leggings for your children. Their friends. Their teachers. Your neighbors. Your mom. Everyone needs a pair. Follow this link to make your own!
