Hola! Today I want to talk about strawberries. They’re delicious. They’re pretty. And they’re pretty delicious when dipped in chocolate and such. Now, I know that to some this is such an easy task: dipping the strawberries. But I like to take my time when I dip. It’s an art. And it can be very fun to come up with combos and flavors. I, personally, like the white chocolate/walnut combo the best. Now, as you all know, I don’t have a fancy camera so if you are into blurry photos then read on!!!
First, you melt some chocolate. I usually work with 16oz at a time. Put it in a microwaveable bowl and melt it in 30 second intervals stirring after every 30 seconds.
Take a strawb and hold it by the green lil’ shrub at the top. Dip it into the chocolate and gently tap your hand against the edge of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate.
Line them up on a cookie sheet. If you plan to drizzle chocolate over the top then let the first layer of chocolate set. If you plan to dip in a topping, then do so immediately after dipping in chocolate. Like so….
What is this? A chips ahoy ad?
I used the leftover white chocolate as a drizzle on top of the milk chocolate. Normally, I use a squeeze bottle for a more uniform drizzle look. But we moved. And I lost my squeeze bottle. So I improvised with a spoon. These didn’t need to be perfect because it was just me eating them. Whew!
Sometimes I go half & half with a little ebony and ivory.
Chill until ready to serve. Enjoy!
