Going to Alt Summit? Come To The Hello Social!

Welp. The cat’s outta the bag, people. I’m a party animal. You probably didn’t know that about me. But it’s true. I’ve teamed up with Melissa of Lulu The Baker and we’ve decided to throw a party at Alt Summit! Actually, it’s technically before Alt Summit as it starts a few hours before the kick-off dinners do. And we’re calling it The Hello Social!

Both Melissa and I are new to Alt (First years! Three points for Gryffindor!), and we wanted to create a little gathering for other bloggers to meet and mingle before the conference actually begins. It’s kind of like when you go to girl’s camp and you don’t know anyone. It can be a little awkward. We wanted to bypass that so that everyone is best friends before we all head off to Alt!

Melissa contacted me a few months ago with the idea for throwing the party. After many late night hours via skype, we started to form a plan. Slowly, The Hello Social started to come together! And now it’s a full-blown bash that we want YOU to attend! I’m super stoked to say that we’ve partnered with West Elm and the party is going to be there. At West Elm. A party. That I’m throwing. At West Elm. Can you tell I’m a little awe-struck? We’ve actually partnered with several awesome companies and this party is gonna be good.

Because I can’t properly gauge cyber-measurements, a few of those logos up there are a bit small. Dangit! Below is a list of our awesome sponsors. The theme for the partay is obviously “Hello” so click on over to their shops and see if you can guess what we’ll be giving ya!

There will be a hot chocolate bar! What? That’s right. Word on the street is that it’s freezing in Utah, so what better way to warm up than with a cup of hot cocoa. The Ticket Kitchen has generously donated their famous chocolate sticks in several gourmet flavors. I don’t know if I’ll be able to control myself. I may eat 25% of the chocolate before the event gets here. My apologies in advance.

There will also be some delicious goodies from Les Madeleines Patisserie Cafe. If you ever visit Salt Lake City, you need to stop there and eat every baked good in sight. I’m dreaming about the pain au chocolat. I would marry carbohydrates if it was socially acceptable. Chef Romina is the head honcho over there and she is carefully crafting up some delicious treats for each attendee. There will be a few different treats from Les Madeleines including macarons. Macarons, you guys. It’s an event for bloggers so you have to have those. Am I right? Would you believe I’ve never had one? They’re just so pretty. And I never get to eat at classy places that serve Macarons. It’s usually corn dogs and fry sauce for this girl.

Smilebooth wants in on the action so get ready for some fun photo-ops! And some recognizable decor from Geronimo will be there as well! There will be treats. There will be prizes. There will be fun conversation. There will be LOTS of color. We’re also giving away fun party bags to the first 125 there! Crazy-awesome Lesley from Whimsybags is screen-printing each bag and we can’t WAIT to give ’em out! There are too many good prizes going into these bags. I’m this close to just telling you. THIS CLOSE!

We’ve also been working with some killer designers to bring you different printed aspects at the party. Big ole’ GRACIAS to Sarah Fritzler, Kristie Garner, and Sarah Khandjian for designing different decor and invitation elements! We can’t wait to share it all!

Guys, I’m dying to spill ALL of the beans but I want to keep some things secret until the event! All I can say is that if you can swing it, you need to get there a week from today. The party is open-house style from 3:30-5:00pm so I’ll see ya there! Click here to RSVP!

  9. I was worried I’d be wandering the streets of SLC solo Wednesday afternoon because my flight arrives at 8am! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: You and Melissa are rock stars! And I love the invite. Everything came together perfectly.

    • Anna! haha I know! When we were planning this we had originally thought to keep it small and intimate, but we are just so over-the top, that the party needed to be as well! Can’t wait to meet! 🙂
