So here’s the thing. I love cream. I could drink the stuff. I also love candy. And sparkling water. So it’s no surprise that I love Italian sodas. My mother used to make them for us all the time during my childhood. We were the cream-lovers of the neighborhood. I love Italian sodas. And I want you to love them too. What better way to spruce them up then with a candied rim???
Rimming the glasses is ridiculously simple. It’s basically a melt and dip situation. Crush some jolly ranchers (red and pink for the win!) and pour in a small bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 60 seconds. The candy will be bubbly. Dip the rims of your glasses and set aside to allow the candy to cool. Easy, right? Just make sure you work quick before the candy sets!
Cute, no? The best part is the taste when you sip the drink!
Have you ever made an Italian soda? I get them at Starbucks all the time. The funny thing is that everyone makes them differently. I once had one at Starbucks WITHOUT cream. I know. Not tasty. Not impressed.
To make your own Raspberry Italian Sodas you’ll need:
- crushed ice
- cream (or half n half if you want to be all healthy and fit)
- Torani Raspberry Syrup
- club soda / seltzer / sparkling water / the water of life
Fill your glasses with ice 3/4 the way to the top. Start by pouring a small amount of cream into the bottom. Fill your glass halfway with cream. Pour the club soda / seltzer / sparkling water / water of life over the cream until the glass is almost full. Top off with the raspberry syrup. And that’s it! Buy desyrel online
