Baby Girl Ward was born recently (view pics of the cutie here!), so while I’m out learning how to raise this tiny human, I’ve asked some amazeballs bloggers to visit! Today’s post comes from Katie & Allison of Twin Stripe. These girls are always pumping out crafts to inspire!
As the weather begins to cool, I love having friends over for a cozy fall-inspired dinner. Adding simple, custom details will make a great evening even better. I recently dressed up my dinner table with easy to make geometric pumpkin napkins and you can too!
Supplies
- Cloth napkins (I got mine from World Market, they come in a variety of colors and are a steal at $9.99 for 6.)
- Geometric pumpkin stencil download
- X-Acto knife
- Ruler
- Foam brush
- Fabric paint
Print out the template on an 8.5 x 11 piece of white cardstock. Using the X-Acto knife and ruler, carefully cut out the pieces to create the pumpkin stencil. Once all pieces have been cut out, place the stencil on your freshly ironed napkin where you want your pumpkin to be. Hold the stencil in place with one hand and use the other to fill in the pumpkin with the fabric paint. Be sure to use even strokes and fill in each cut out completely. Carefully pull off the stencil and let it dry complete. I found that I used a new pumpkin stencil for each napkin I made. Once the paint is dry, you can set your fall table.
I used green napkins with gold paint and the designed really popped, but you can use any color combo to match your table and décor. Simple details like geometric pumpkin napkins will make your dinner even more fun and memorable.
Thanks so much to Lexy for having us and congratulations on your bundle of joy!
