Here we go, here we go! Just a few days left until the fabulous fourth! We have a whole slew of activities planned for the day. Some of which will include fruit pizza. Actually, all of our plans will include sugar, so…
With the Colorado weather being so hot and all of the fires going on, the state has declared it a “fireworks-less holiday”. It’s just too dangerous to put on a show, so pop-its are all that’s left. Maybe I’m being a little dramatic. I’m sure we can use bloomers, too. Do you remember pop-its? Maybe you called them snappers, or snaps? Or poppers? The kids, they love ’em. And so do I. Instead of giving them to the kiddos in those measly plastic bags that spill sawdust all over the place, serve ’em up in some custom pouches. I’ve included the printable, so all you have to do is print and iron!
To make you’re own you’ll need:
- cotton muslin bags
- iron-on material
- inkjet printer and printable download (included at the bottom of this post)
- scissors
- pop-its
Print the design on the iron-on material (print on matte side!). Cut out as close to the design as possible. Iron the design onto your bags holding the iron on for 30 seconds. Fill with your pop-its and have fun throwing them at the ground! You can throw them at each other if you’re in a fight, but only if you’re responsible. 🙂
There’s still time to make these so get to it!

LOVE this! So cute. And thanks for reminding me I have some of those in my kitchen cupboard. As the kids get older, you hide things better and better…

Thanks, lady! I know about hiding. I don’t have any real kids, but Logan’s pretty close to one!
