It’s no secret that I love gifts. I love giving them. I love getting them. I love wrapping them. I love shopping for them. It’s all just so wonderful. That’s why I’m stoked to share Giftry with y’all today! What is Giftry? Oh, it’s just a new site that helps you create gift registries for your pals and loved ones. You could even make a Giftry for someone you hate. It’s so fun curating items that you would eventually grow to love the person whom you are giftry-ing. I’ve partnered with Giftry as as part of their Influencer program (with some other baller bloggers ) to share a few ways to get the most out of it and become the ultimate giver.
With Vita’s birthday just around the corner, I’ve had so many friends ask what she might need or want as a gift. Since I don’t want to admit that she loves anything that’s a choking hazard (television cords, votive candles, chapstick, etc.), I thought it would be easiest to create a Giftry titled FOR THE ONE YEAR OLD.
This particular Giftry is filled with gift suggestions from popular kid sites around the web including Land of Nod and Wilson and Frenchy, two of my faves. Peeps can just click the photo and be taken directly to the source to purchase! I have a bit of an obsession with children’s toys and I might just need to purchase everything on the list. I gotta have it all!
And it goes like this:
You simply download the “add to giftry” button to your browser. Then, it hangs out all up in your toolbar waiting for you to click it. It’s similar to the “pin it” button from Pinterest. You can add items from within the Giftry collections, or you can add items from outside webpages that you may be shopping on. Wanna add a bunch of items from Anthro? There’s a Giftry for that.
One of my fave features of Giftry is that you can create an endless amount of Giftries. I currently have several growing including:
One FOR THE BAKER:
One FOR THE DONUT LOVER:
One FOR THE PAPER LOVER:
And since I fall into the DIY category (Have we nailed that down?), I even have a Giftry FOR THE MAKER:
When creating Giftries, keep the types of friends you have in mind. Do they spend a lot of time in the kitchen? Do they have children? Are they really into techie gear? If you’re feeling lost when it comes to inspiration, you can check out the Giftries of some of the Influencers! Each has a different style and will help you uncover cyber gems you didn’t know existed.
You can also collaborate with other users on Giftry. Let’s create a scenario, shall we? Logan decides to throw me a surprise party. He’s created a Giftry with items specifically for me. While he tries, he’s not always the best gift giver. hashtag bless his heart. He invites friends and family to add items to the Giftry. They all share ideas and everyone attending the surprise party shows up with a perfect gift for little old me. What a win, right?
I have to say this: Giftry is so similar to Pinterest that I know you’re gonna love it. The best part? The source is ALWAYS right there so no hunting fo’ you!
You can sign up to create your own Giftries right here!
And, of course, the funnest party of the gifting art is the wrap! I could honestly create a Giftry list filled with gift wrap supplies! I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and I take pride when giving gifts. You should, too! Remember this tissue fringe wrap? It’s thrown in with a whole juggernaut of gift wrap DIY ideas that can be found right here!
And the DIY pom pom wrap! Holy smokes. Let’s give gifts, you guys?!?!?!?!?!
*This post is in partnership with Giftry. These words are totally my own. Thanks for supporting brands that help keep Proper partying!
