Hey folks! I hope you all had a great weekend! Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, but I was catching up on some zzz’s from my crazy weekend! But I’ll tell you about that another time. For now, today’s tutorial is about some paper that I’m in love with. Below is a pic from an Anthropologie window display that I have had my eye on for some time now. I studied it and came up with a way to re-create it. Now, paper is expensive so I couldn’t make a display of this magnitude, but I think mine’s puuurrtttyy cute. 

       

      

Supplies: hole punch, large circle-shaped cutter, scrapbook paper in assorted colors, needle, cotton twine, hot glue gun

      

First, take your large circle cutter and cut out as many circles as you can get from each square of paper.

      

      

Then, take your small hole punch – this is an itty bitty one – and punch a hole in the middle of each circle.

      

      

Thread each circle onto a very long piece of twine. I thread 30 circles of each color and laid them out flat.

      

      

Take your hot glue gun and squeeze a tiny dab onto the middle of each circle. You don’t need a lot, just enough to dot the thread and lock the paper in place. 

      

      

      

      

      

I was using these as a garland for a baby shower, but they hung out on my staircase for a few days until they could be hung. 

      

      

      

I didn’t have a place high enough to hang them dramatically like above, so I draped them around my entire deck and they added that extra POW I was needing. They were perfect decorations for a baby shower threw for a good friend last Saturday. The pics aren’t ready yet, but here’s a sneak peek!
