Lately, Vita and I have been making an effort to get out of the house more. We have been exploring new neighborhoods and shops, and have found quite a few gems here in Denver that I want to start sharing with you on a regular basis. There’s a cute little shop on 6th avenue called Swoozie’s that I drove by regularly and was always intrigued by the cute window displays. I could tell it was a paper shop filled with lots of cuteness. Now, I am picky about the paper goods and party supplies that I use regularly. I like clean and bright and colorful. I like modern with a touch of whimsy and vintage. And happens to carry some items that are right up my color-lovin’ alley.
I’m kicking off a new series called Brick & Mortar where I share actual shops that are filled to brim with awesomeness and inspiration. And you better believe some of those will be sweet shops! Swoozie’s had a little party last night and they asked me to come along and share a few ideas for easy entertaining during the holidays. I know. Who in the world would give me the floor?!?!
I heard from several of the party-goers that they were in love with all the napkins. And after reading a bunch of them, I get it. They were catchy!
Swoozie’s also carries a few products from Sparq Home. Have you ever checked that out?! They’re known for their whiskey rocks (in the photo above), but I want the soapstone platter & carrier! And maybe the soapstone serving platter. Is that too much to ask?!
Ladies were hanging by the Kate Spade table all night. I don’t blame them!
Me? I had my eye on these party poppers for hours. They’re Christmas-y and I’m obsessed. They’re filled with cookie cutters! Too bad I’ll never get to see those because I might not have the heart to break these bad boys open!
Guess who headed home with a few goodies including this scalloped tumbler?! Thank you, Swoozie’s, for making a little girl’s tumbler dreams come true.
Every party goer got to head home with a bag-o’-goods, of course. And Sparq Home threw in these soapstone ampersand wine stoppers. They were made specifically for everyone last night! Pretty, yes?!
I’m all about quick DIY projects and easy entertaining. ESPECIALLY during the holidays! I shared a few simple ideas for getting your hostess on during the holiday season.
Update basic wooden cutlery by adding a little gold leaf! Buy nexium 20mg
Take a calligraphy pen (Hobby Lobby, folks) and write simple words on cups, napkins, and favor boxes. You DO NOT need amazing handwriting for this! Buy lasix 20mg
You can also use fringe scissors to create some super easy fringe gift wrap – see more in this post!
It was a pretty relaxing night and it was fun to catch up with friends and bloggers who live in the area! If you were there, and I showed you way too many pictures of Vita, I apologize profusely.
