With the new year, I have all sorts of resolutions involving organization and decluttering. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN. Never mind the fact that while I’m writing this, my Christmas tree is still up and completely decorated. It will come down. Probably tomorrow. That’s what I said yesterday. And the day before. But I promise that it will be down by mid-January and the rest of the holiday decor will be put away! I still have a lot of my gift wrap trim strewn about the house, and the holiday postcards we received from friends last month are still on display. (Confession: I haven’t thrown a card out in five holiday seasons. I love my friends.) To get myself in the organizing mood, I created these printable abstract labels that work for organizing EVERYTHING. I’ve maybe gone a little overboard and slapped them on any and every blank box in our home. Because I can. And you can too! Get the download below!
PRINTABLE ABSTRACT LABELS
- Avery Internet Shipping Labels (#18126)
- Inkjet Printer
- Scissors
- Cute storage boxes
- download (available at the bottom of this post!)
They come complete with a blank box so you can print them and handwrite your own words, OR you can use Avery Design & Print Online to fill each box with whatever you like!
Gotta organize those pencils? It can be done. Want to use them to label food in the pantry? Go for it. Seasonal clothing put away in boxes? You bet!
If you’re great at hand-lettering (which I am not), have fun writing out different labels to keep your office or pantry in ship-shape.
I chose to place all of my free ribbon (read: tangled ribbon) in a box so I knew just where to find any of it should I need it to quickly wrap a gift. And because I don’t want those postcards to get lost, they, too, went in a box of their own. Organized by year so that I can recall what my friends and family looked like back in 2012.
To print out the labels, simply click the link below. The design can be enlarged or shrunk to fit your needs and the type of label you’re printing on. The label design is a downloadable .Avery file. Download it, and then go to www.avery.com/open to open the file using Avery Design & Print Online. **Because it is an .Avery file, it may seem like it is broken or didn’t work, but the design will open up if you go to www.avery.com/open to open the file using Avery Design & Print Online. Open everything up (it’s all sized and ready for ya!), add your text, and then save and print on Avery Internet Shipping Labels (#18126)! Hooray for getting our lives together!
